EVENT DETAILS

Both in support of our 2021 Write-Minded Writing Contest and our tight community of young writers, we hosted a Zoom webinar with Mr. Simon Han, who is an award-winning American author of Chinese descent. His novel Nights When Nothing Happened was named Best Book of the Year by Time, The Washington Post, and Harper’s Bazaar. You can find more about him here!

In this webinar, we focused on the topic of "How to Write a Story from a Cultural Perspective" and Simon talked about one of his recent essays published on Literary Hub. Participants had the opportunity to ask him any questions they had about writing stories, which he answered gladly towards the end of the conference.

EVENT DATE: March 13th, 2020 (4:30-5:30PM EST)

GUEST SPEAKER: Simon Han (Author of Nights When Nothing Happened)
